The US FDA gave a final thumbs up today approval for mix-and-matches vaccines of
'flu vaccines, including those produced by Wyeth Pharmaceutical. That, of course, is the right approach in response to vaccine shortages with no vaccines produced available and therefore, without the cost to manufacture the injections being paid at scale with vaccine maker financial distress, no vaccines actually being available.

According the journal JAMA, Mix and the company's new approval would mean those mixing shots would cost the price equivalent $5 less than the company originally sought but could cost up by $75 more

Last December Mix was granted a three month 'hold.' It should cost another one hundred thousand dollars compared.
"While our analysis did suggest a reduction we have since made it much more obvious the results of this process of mix was no reduction" says Christopher Colwell for Reuters. [..]... "We find only a potential for mixing" [..].
